I am pretty excited to be heading back home to Perth for a long weekend this evening to catch up with the family and also to see some of my Perth based friends (expect a lot of food related posts of my trip – I tend to plan my holidays around food).
I have lived in Melbourne for nearly four years now, so I should really stop saying that I am going back ‘home’. It is home in the sense that it is where my family and the house I grew up in is (so that really feels like home) but I don’t think I will be going back to live there in the short or medium term, so Melbourne should be my home (especially since I bought a house here). I think it will be something I always struggle with, me living in one state, and my family in another. Luckily – from the end of October, my new job will permit me to head back to Perth much more frequently that I ever could before, so they’ll never be far away.
On a lighter note, my Asos order from last week just arrived (super fast shipping!). So glad that I now have a few more bits that I can take with me to wear over my weekend away – yay!

I think you can have more than one home

(Apparently this was a duplicate comment…can’t see the other one though!)
Ah, now I can! lol
Hahaha – ah well! It is a very important point, maybe it derserves two comments. I think that is very true, maybe I’ll just have two homes!
