You can see my initial thoughts on why I did a 24 before 24 here and then you can view the wrap up here.
Plan an event (be it a party, dinner or anything really) for my 24th birthday.Done! Post about it here.- Complete the Johnny Depp filmography. Unfortunately I didn’t make it – the list just seemed too long to conquer.
Read at least one book a month – which means 6 more books before november.Done! Thought this was a great challenge – have upped it to two books a month for my 25 before 25.- Sew at least one item of clothing from my ‘to sew’ pattern pile. Unfortunately this one didn’t get completed either (although three months after I was 24 I did get my sewing machine out again).
Spend a day in the city photographing all the amazing graffiti in the laneways.Done! Can be seen here.- Make one piece of diy art. Not completed mostly due to money and lack of ideas on what to do.
Grow herbs without them dying.Done! They may not be alive now – but they did survive a while there.plan an overseas holiday.Done! Headed to Singapore and Thailand.- Take a weekend to paint my house. Still hasn’t been done – maybe just before I sell it I will get around to it.
Find an exercise that I want to stick with.Done! Loved my boot camp! Have joined a gym this year to try and keep the costs down (boot camp was exxy) so hopefully I stick to this just as much.Go on a date.Done!Start some volunteer work.Done! I volunteered at the Pets Haven Shelter – it proved to be quite a drive from my house, so looking into volunteering at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital instead.- Bake beautiful cupcakes or a decorated cake. This moved onto my 25 before 25.
- Start a budget. This also carried over to 25 before 25.
Make more things from scratch; in particular pesto, curry paste and pasta.Done! Something things were better, others are better left to store bought.- Spend one afternoon in a fortnight (the frequency may change) not watching tv, playing any movies, or on the internet – instead spend it reading a book, listening to music, or just thinking. Wow – this was hard - couldn’t do it.
Refrain from my cutting my hair (apart from the necessary teeny tiny trims) to allow it to grow. Done! Going for the waist now.Do something cultured.Done! The Art of Brick – lego exhibition – awesome!- Treat my parents. Couldn’t think of something worthwhile – will need to ponder about this one.
Make numerous origami cranes to contain within a massive vase for my house.Done! Took me a few nights but looks great now.Continue donating blood every 3 months. Done! Been pretty easy due to their constant reminders.Finish an entire giant crossword with absolutely no help – from friends or the internet.Done! Finally got this one – you can see here.- Learn to drive a manual car. Unfortunately this still hasn’t been completed – but it is a life goal.
Just be happier. Done!
